On our way to hike the Devils Punchbowl to the Devils chair... such a pretty place, the drive alone is worth it, about an hour drive from Los Angeles. The hike is pretty long but you don't really notice , about 3 hours total. The rock formations called the Devils Punchbowl (pictured above) were formed when two earthquake faults collided. The hike is mostly shaded and you'll experience peace and quiet like never before. It's amazing to take a break when you reach the devils chair and just listen to nature with no interruptions. I would bring a snack or sandwich to eat when you get to the Devils Chair :) Our camera died right when we got there so I don't have pictures from the Devils Chair, but you can see some here, or go check it out for yourself :)
